About the speaker: Paul Preston is Professor of International History at the London School of Economics and one of the world-leading experts in Spanish Contemporary History. He has published a number of major works on the Civil War and the Francoist Dictatorship and have won multiple awards, such as the Premi Internacional Ramon Llull, the most prestigious international prize for academic achievement given in Catalonia.


About the event: Prof Preston will be lecturing on the views and testimonies of the Foreign Correspondents in the Spanish Civil War.

The talk will be held at the Summer Common room, at Magdalen College, from 17:30 to 18:30.
